I was skeptical, too.

For about a year and a half, I struggled with a painful skin issue that began on my neck and eventually spread to my face.

My neck cracked and oozed. At times, I could barely turn my head. It hurt to laugh, and makeup couldn’t cover what was happening. I began pulling away from things I loved. Even my daughter was hesitant to kiss me. That hurt in a way that went far beyond my skin.

As a Wellness Architect, I had supported clients through serious health challenges. Yet here I was, struggling to find answers for myself. That was deeply humbling.

The moment I still remember.

I remember standing in the shower after scratching myself raw. Water was running down my face, and I was crying.

“I can’t do this anymore. God, please help me or take me out.”

That was how overwhelmed I felt then. I’m doing well now, but I haven’t forgotten how hard that season was.

James encouraged me to try the K8.

I had tried parasite cleanses and a multitude of detox protocols. Eventually, we got the K8 James had recommended, even though I wasn’t sure about it. I began drinking the water and applying it to my skin.

About six months after we started using the machine, my skin had completely cleared. Because I had also tried several other approaches, I wasn’t ready to attribute the change to the water alone.

Then our routine changed.

Six months later, kitchen repairs left us without access to the machine for three months. Slowly, the sores began to return.

When we started using the water again, the sores cleared within a week. I haven’t had another episode since.

That sequence was the turning point for me. It’s why I personally believe the water made a difference, and why I’m willing to share something this vulnerable.

Meet the machine

Enagic LeveLuk K8.

A countertop water ionizer that filters incoming water and uses electrolysis to produce different water settings.

Kangen Water is Enagic’s name for the alkaline drinking water produced by its ionizers. The K8 offers settings for drinking and other household uses. Each setting has a specific purpose.

Explore official K8 specifications

Eight electrode plates: Platinum-coated titanium plates used in the electrolysis process.
Five water types: Includes drinking-water settings and settings intended for other uses. Not every setting is drinkable.
Touchscreen controls: Select the appropriate setting and follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
Ongoing care: Plan for filter replacement and cleaning according to your water conditions and the manual.

Before you decide.

What is the difference between alkaline water and hydrogen water?

Alkaline describes pH. Hydrogen water contains dissolved molecular hydrogen. These are different properties, and a pH reading does not measure dissolved hydrogen or establish a health benefit.

Can every K8 water setting be used for drinking?

No. Strong acidic water, acidic beauty water, and strong alkaline water are not drinking-water settings. Follow the K8 manual for each setting and its intended use.

Does the K8 treat skin conditions or cancer?

The K8 is a water ionizer, not a medical treatment. Melodie’s story documents her personal observations and does not establish that the machine treated her skin condition. Do not use it to replace diagnosis or treatment from a qualified clinician.

Does the K8 replace every kind of water filtration?

No single system should be assumed to address every water concern. Review your water report or testing, the current filter specifications, and any need for pretreatment before purchasing.

What should I use when taking medication?

Enagic recommends its neutral Clean Water setting for taking medication. Follow your prescriber’s instructions about water, medications, and any fluid restrictions.
